- A thorough examination of the teeth, gums and mouth.
- Scaling and polishing to remove plaque and calculus (tartar) build-up.
- Fluoride application to help reduce the risk of decay.
- X-rays periodically to check areas that we are unable to visually inspect (in between the teeth and in the jawbone), for any underlying problems.
If you require any further dental treatment, we will address your concerns and discuss your options with you and customize a plan according to your needs and preferences. In the meantime, you can find out more about our services here.
Children and Adolescents
It is important for the little ones to have a great dental experience from a young age. The Australian Dental Association recommends having a dental visit as soon as your baby has a tooth in their mouth or when they reach 12 months old. It is best for children to be accustomed to having positive, preventive dental experiences earlier, instead of having their first visit as an older child when they have a problem with their tooth or in pain.
For growing children and adolescents, in addition to examination and cleaning, we provide screening and advice around the need for future orthodontic treatment. We can carry out orthodontic treatment either in-house or refer your child to a specialist orthodontist, depending on complexity and your personal preferences.
